Volunteers are the backbone of MINT's operations. From daily turtle care to beach patrols and community education, our volunteers gain hands-on experience in marine conservation while directly contributing to the survival of endangered sea turtles.

Your work directly contributes to saving endangered species
Daily care of rehabilitation patients including feeding preparation, tank cleaning, health monitoring, and data recording.
Record nesting activity including turtles coming onto the beach to lay eggs and estimate when hatchlings will emerge.
Deliver presentations to schools, create educational materials, and engage with community events.
Support sea turtle rescue across Magnetic Island and Townsville and collect important data on any dead sea turtles
